At our recent Friendsgiving/Holiday Party, we discussed key updates on our legislative efforts, civics education, and upcoming events. Special guest speaker Jennifer Rubin, President, LWVNC outlined the challenges and victories in our advocacy work while encouraging attendance at the January Regional Meeting. We also reviewed progress on our website, membership platform, and fundraising efforts for International Women’s Day.

On July 20th, we held a great meeting of the minds, resulting in lots of exciting plans for the upcoming year! Stay tuned…
NC POTATO FESTIVAL
LWVNENC had our first official booth at the NC Potato Festival this year! So many folks stopped by for our Civics 101 trivia wheel game that we almost ran out of prizes. We are also proud to report that some new voters got registered, and we gained a couple of new members. Already looking forward to next year!
BRUNCH AND BALLOTS IS A RESOUNDING SUCCESS!
A great time was had by all as we partnered with Common Cause NC and Vikings Vote to provide crucial information on recent and upcoming changes to North Carolina elections at Elizabeth City State University on April 21, 2024. Need information on voting? We’ve got you covered at http://www.vote411.org!
LWVNENC Partners with Common Cause NC
